How to Create Cartoons

This 40-page "how-to" book elucidates Tashln's "SCOTArt" method of drawing, whereby cartoon illustrations of all human and animal figures are built upon one of four basic shapes: the Square, Circle, Oval or Triangle.  A natural entrepreneurial outgrowth of his own experience with art instruction, as both pupil and teacher, this book is as interesting for the biographical tidbits it contains as for its utilitarian aspects.  Includes a short introduction -- sort of a thumbnail portrait of Tashlin -- by Milt Gross.
